I feel like I totally leave you guys out...and I wanted to so very badly make this blog a super priority this year!!
It may not happen.
Not because I don't want it to, but because right now, my kids are saying, "I spy with my little eye," and I have to go...maybe later??
I just can't resist a good game of I spy with the kiddos!

OUCH!!! Last Thursday, I started having a "stinging, burning, stabbing" sensation in my (dominant by the way) right hand & wrist. Never tingling...like I had when I was pregnant with Marshall and felt a little carpal tunnel...this was PAIN!!
So, I tried to tough it out...thinking that it would subside and wouldn't be a big deal. By the end of the day Friday, I was learning to move the mouse with my left hand because the pain was so terribly bad.
We actually just paid of the hospital from when we lost the baby a year ago. No way was I going in over the weekend. So yesterday, I called my VERY understanding (and wonderful - no, I don't think she reads my blog, that is just how I really feel!!) boss. I explained that the pain that started on Thursday had actually gotten to the point that I couldn't use my hand...at all!!
This morning, I had to take Paige to the orthodontist because we're getting ready for the dreaded braces. I had made an appointment to see my doctor at 1:40 so I ran her up, we did our thing (she goes back May 24th to get everything started), ran her back to school, then went back to Cape to see the doc. Well, I really can't say what actually happened to start this pain. But he said that I've done something to get it all inflamed and swollen...so now, I'm in a wrist brace and meds!!
This seems to be the way things are going for us lately!! I'm hoping to get my Wordless Wednesday post together this week...I have something very special to share!
Hugs all...Melody

I just got an invite to join a fan page on Facebook...and I was totally surprised...
A very sweet family at our church has begun the adoption process for a little girl from Ethiopia. What a wonderful plan God has blessed!!
To follow their adoption process, read Becca's blog HERE. They will be selling beaded bracelets during the month of March to help raise funds for $20.00.
God is the ultimate Father, and to the 147 million across the world that are orphans, He is pouring out His love. Families (including Justin's brother) have opened their homes to these children. I have 3 nieces that have been transformed by adoption. Natasha and Anya were both in orphanages in the Ukraine and Anna is from here in the United States. Natasha was nearing the age where she would have literally been out on the street as a young teenager, Anya has severe Spina Bifida (and since joining our extended family, has had 1 leg amputation and had gained a purple - specially made - wheelchair!). Anna was in a situation where her mother was unable to care for her, and her grandparents were aging. God picked my brother and sister in law to be her permanent mommy and daddy.
Always be ready for God's urging. You may feel that your family is complete, but He may have bigger plans for you!!

To explain a little further, a blog pal, and a preview of my next giveaway!

I know I left everyone hanging on Friday, and I'm sorry.
It was just a very painful shopping experience. And I hate to say that I'm totally done with coupons. I do not want to discourage anyone else however...so I do have a LOCAL blog that you need to follow.
My new friend Amy started a blog back in January, and I do hope that you'll follow her over at Blessings N' Couponing and she will be posting your favorite local deals along with daily scripture (to share the ultimate FREE GIFT) and other freebies that she finds!!
I'm also still going to have sponsored giveaways. This change that I've made doesn't mean that I'm not going to share wonderful product reviews. I still may post some freebies that are shared with me, but mostly if I think that they are relevant to the new direction of this blog.
If I lose readers because of this, I'm very sorry. I just cannot continue feeling as if my shopping trips don't reflect the love of Christ (and sometimes its almost impossible to be yelled at in front of 30 Target guests and your very own 8-year old daughter to still hold yourself together and make sure that Christ is coming through in every comment you make...). I hope that everyone understands.
I will close this blog entry with much hope (and a teaser of what's to come).
I just received a package from Patricia at Supermarket Smarty and I will be posting a review within a week or so of their erasable shopping list!! It looks fabulous and I'm really excited to offer this to you!!
And here's my hope and my lesson learned in this experience. I hope that you can see this passage reflected in what I've posted here.
6Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:1-11 (New International Version)
Philippians 2
Imitating Christ's Humility
1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:6Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,

I just had my last bad shopping experience. I will never ever use a coupon again, nor will I ever shop at Target again. I will no longer be posting ANYTHING about coupons. Its time to move on. I've trashed every single one of my coupons, and I've cried and cried, but I can't do this anymore. I can't put this much effort into something that never returns to me well (sorry Walgreen's, you're my favorite, but I can't afford to shop there anymore!). So its back to shopping at Aldi only for me. And back to Dave Ramsey...ugh...

Remember when I said I'd tell you about The Bema Seat?

Well, I will. Do you know what The Bema Seat is? As Christians, we know that we do not have to face the same Judgment that non-believers do. But I can remember, as a child, my best friend Jennifer did tell me that our works on earth determined the size of our crown. I have wandered through life, expecting that by being "good" and "helping others" that my crown would be filled with more than a small chard of diamond or ruby. I thought that because I wasn't out drinking and carousing...stealing...being violent...not lying...that Jesus would reward me with wonderful riches and a beautiful mansion when I got to Heaven. But then...here about (eek) 18 years later, my pastor, Mark Anderson, gave everyone at Lynwood Baptist Church a CD. And his father speaks at the beginning saying that this is a life changing message. What did I expect?? Not to learn more about Heaven or how to live my life here...for this day and for "B" day. I really didn't. I thought I knew it. How do you feel? Do you think that you are prepared to face our Lord on "B" day? What do you think He will say? I know at Judgment House, I cried like a baby when Jason Bandermann (who was playing Jesus) told my kids that He was proud of His good and faithful servants. What do you think Jesus will say...to you...about the things you've done?? Will you have a crown?
I'll warn you, after you listen to this, you'll never be the same. Yes, the sun will still shine and the grass will be green, but you will live seeing those things differently. You'll understand your purpose. You will live for more than what you ever have before. I promise. Will you listen?
This is a lengthy message that starts out with a song. Please make sure that you have about an hour to devote to listening. Click HERE to begin.
If, after listening to this message, you feel the Holy Spirit urging you to make a decision, please call someone and let them know. Look in the phone book and find a Bible teaching church. Just remember, you won't get a second chance to live for "B" day.
To order the book, see below.
